When I bought Farriers Manager I knew it would help organise my work pattern. But little did I know the real way it would help me one day.
When shoeing a horse on one occasion something did not seem right. I did not say anything to the client but I made a note of my thoughts on the clients record and made sure I recorded my advice as to continued treatment and use.
Some weeks later the horse presented lame and the client was trying every way possible to lay the blame at my door. It got quite ugly until I suddenly remembered that I had made a note of my suspicions. When confronting the client with the undisputed record and showing that I had advised treatment that they had not followed, the whole situation was diffused.
To this day they remain a loyal client but now know that with everything being recorded they will take heed of my advice.
Now I realise that the other uses this could be put to. I have used the system to prove history of treatment when faced with an insurance claim by a client and to ensure that bad debts have been paid. Of course by asking Ambrit Software to add a few minor features, I am now able to rate my clients using a Star rating system that ensures that my clients are increasingly becoming more and more reliable in terms of payment and making repeat appointments.
So Farriers Manager really has fulfilled it's promise not only in ways I was hoping for but in quite unexpected areas. Now i realise just how important it is to document all my work and Farriers Manager is the ideal tool for that.
