Period between Visits

These fields are quite obvious but it is worth making the point that while they can be changed manually, when booking an appointment in the diary, the dates will be changed automatically.

Using this as an example, let us examine what the next appointment function within the Appointments does.

Let us say that we arrange an appointment for July 23rd 2009. Since the Period between visits has been entered as every 6 weeks then the Next Visit has been automatically entered by the system as September 3rd 2009. So when booking this appointment the system will take you to the Appointments screen for that date and you are then able to enter the appointment. If the suggested appointment is not convenient then you are able to manually adjust using the calendar at the side

When you have completed the September 3rd appointment then that date will become the Last Visit and the Next Visit will be recalculated by the system.

If you do not wish to create a new appointment then ticking in the Left Open box will leave the Next Visit box blank
