Converting your data

Now that you have set up the master site your data will need to be converted.

This is an automated process and WILL take some time. That time is dependent on the amount of information on the system. But you should be prepared for this to take up to 30 minutes perhaps if you have a lot of clients and invoices on the system as every record on the system has to be updated.

When the system restarts after setting up the master site you will see various windows appearing.

You may also see the following set of screens flashing in the background.

Sometimes these may appear frozen. That is because the computer will be working at converting the information that it will not have time to refresh your monitor. Do not be alarmed and just keep an eye on the hard disc light which will be flashing or even on continually. This indicates that processing is taking place.

Once the conversion has been completed the system will start and you are ready for the next setup process which is setting up the other site/s. But first - the Log Manager.
