ELPO Data Transmission |

Once all the information has been gathered and entered into Farriers Manager a specific requirement is that the data be transmitted to a central location for analysis.
This is achieved by creating and sending various CSV files attached to an email to the controller.
Step 1:
The first thing to do is to enter the controller details. This is achieved within the Preferences section and specifically the Reports area. You will not be able to transmit any information until these fields have been completed.
Name - this is the name of the ELPO data coordinator EMail - this is the email address where data is to be sent
Step 2:
You must now set up your email settings by referring to the EMail Settings section.
Step 3:
You are now ready to transmit the information required.
This is achieved within the Utilities area (ELPO Data).
This now reveals the data transmission window.
The data transmitted will consist mainly of the form data for each form completed, your registration number, research number, horse ID, control number and other information required to aid the analysis of the data.
Currently, the system will detect what records have been transmitted. If none are available you will be told. Otherwise the system will collate all the relevant information and create one or more CSV files for transmission. On completion and email window will open showing the files attached, the email address of the recipient and sender will be completed and you are afforded an opportunity to enter any further information you might require. Pressing Send will transmit the information and on successful transmission will mark those records as having been sent.
