EMail Settings

Top  Previous  Next

In order to have email work correctly you need to mimic the settings you already use in your regular email client. If you are using either Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail here is where you can find those settings.

NOTE: The examples below are NOT the settings you should use. They are examples only and you must use your own settings.

Step 1:

In each case you should open your regular email client and click on Tools from the top menu and then select Accounts. You will now see a list of accounts.

Step 2:

Highlight your normal email account (usually noted as the default Account) and press Change or Properties.

Step 3:

This screen now provides all the information you need to get started. The fields you will need to replicate are Incoming mail (POP3), Outgoing mail (SMTP), Email username, Password.

You might have to set up Authentication if required. If so click on Settings or More next to the Authentication check box (if checked) and replicate the settings shown.

Please click on the relevant email client you use above for the relevant settings screenshots.
