Common Problems

We have tested these utilities on various machines and versions of Quickbooks. So long as you have checked that your version of Quickbooks is supported and you still cannot get a connection then please follow these steps to try to overcome the problem.

Remember, you will only have to do this once to get Quickbooks to accept authorisation from our software.

The aim is to have Quickbooks authorise our software to access the company file. This access is shown in Quickbooks from the top file menu Edit - Preferences - Integrated Applications.

Integrated Applications

Please follow these steps to track down any connection problems:

1.Log in to Quickbooks as an Administrator.
2.Make sure you are in Single User mode.
3.Now go to Edit - Preferences - Integrated Applications and remove any reference to Farriers Manager.
4.Make sure the company file allows integrated applications - the top checkbox should be unchecked.
5.Now start Farriers Manager and select for example Client. Assuming the Quickbooks button is available click on this to attempt a connection. Once authorisation has been provided you can return to Multi User mode if you wish.
