Shoe Type

The shoe type would appear to be straight forward and not require any explanation. However there is a "hidden" function within the system, that being length of Steel required to make up a handmade shoe.

If a shoe is handmade we provide a formula that calculates the length of steel required to make that shoe based on several measurements. One particular horse shoe type affects that calculation dramatically and that is a HEARTBAR shoe. Therefore, if the word Heartbar appears in the shoe type description it will be picked up on the length of steel calculation at the appropriate time if a handmade shoe.

Also when you enter the shoe type if it contains the word "bar" then the bar shoe checkbox will appear.  Check this if it is indeed a bar shoe.
