Starting up the B100 machine |
|
|
You will need to follow these steps each time you have created a new site at the master machine.
1. Start Farriers Manager on the B000 machine. 2. Start Farriers Manager on the B100 machine. 3. On the B000 machine go into the Log Manager and click Process. 4. When complete go the B100 machine Log Manager and click Process. You will know when the process routine has finished as the timer will have been suspended and will restart when processing is complete.
So long as your settings are correct then you should see the following window in the Log Manager. Note: The first time you may only see 2 records here but this should change after a couple of transfer cycles.
This has now shown that the B100 machine has successfully communicated with the B000 machine. We know that because there are now 4 entries as shown above.
In the order shown these represent the connections between the machines as follows:
B000 > B000 This is the site record for the B000 machine B000 > B100 This is the connection between B000 and B100 where information is sent FROM the B000 TO the B100 machine B100 > B000 This is the connection between B000 and B100 where information is sent FROM the B100 TO the B000 machine B100 > B100 This is the site record for the B100 machine
The first thing we recommend is that you modify the Sitename/Relationship field. This is purely a description but you might want to change that to reflect the connection. Just click Change on each record to edit the Site Relationship field.
For the B000 > B000 record you might call that "Master User machine" For the B000 > B100 record you might call that "Master to Sandra" For the B100 > B000 record you might call that "Sandra to Master" For the B100 > B100 record you might call that "Sandras machine"
Remember that the email address for the record is the address of the machine you are sending the information TO.
In the case of B000 > B000 this would be something like b000@ambritsoftware.com In the case of B000 > B100 this would be something like b100@ambritsoftware.com because B000 is sending information TO B100 In the case of B100 > B000 this would be something like b000@ambritsoftware.com because B100 is sending information TO B000 In the case of B100 > B100 this would be something like b100@ambritsoftware.com
Once you have changed and checked these settings all that is now required is to test Multi User. From this point on you will very rarely need to go into the Log Manager and you will use the system as normal with Multi User running in the background. |
