When the Scan Manager starts you will see the screen shown below:
It is divided into five areas.

The pull down menu system ( File and Options ) - these provide keyboard access to exit the Scan Manager (in case your mouse fails) and also access to seldom used features.

The toolbar - a group of button controls that provide the normal interface to the Scan Manager.

The thumbnail navigation pane - this is the black strip down the left side of the screen. When you scan pages or load a file, small thumbnail images are generated and displayed in this area like a film strip. You can scroll it up and down if its length exceeds what can be displayed. Clicking on any thumbnail image will result in the corresponding page being loaded in the main viewer.

The main viewer pane - the large black area where large views of your scanned images are displayed.

The status bar - this strip along the bottom of the screen displays the current scanner profile in the left side and messages about the current operation on the right side.
